Hi, I'm Ana
I'm a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Madrid, Spain.
Several years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to Spain wasn’t part of our long-range plan. Like many relocations for expats, it started with a work opportunity and soon grew into something much greater.
The early months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Routine tasks felt more challenging than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, habits took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began constructing something that felt steady.
Why I Created Soft Breeze Ledger
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism material. What was missing was a candid, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance grounded in real life in Spain.
What This Site Does (And Doesn’t)
This site IS:
- Hands-on insights from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever there is a meaningful change
This site ISN'T:
- An official tourism resource
- A sponsored review platform
- A general travel diary
Looking Ahead
Our time in Spain continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Ana
